Where To Buy Your Domain Name

Posted by BaliSEO under Domain, Seo

Do you need a domain name for your business? Here are just a few ways of purchasing one.

1. Think Up and Register Your Own Original Domain Name

Think up your own original name and register it at a domain name registrar. Although this seems obvious, many people feel that all the good domain names are already taken.

It is true that it won’t be easy to come up with a suitable name that has not already been registered. However, with some careful thought, you may come up with your own original domain name.

For example, I once was going to buy a certain domain name but someone else beat me to it. Upon reflection, I came up with a comparable (if not better) domain name myself and simply registered it.

2. Buy Already Expired Domain Names

Sometimes you can find the domain name you want from a list of already expired domain names. (I did!)

Visit whois.net (or a similar site) to “Search through deleted domains” by keyword.

This way you pay no commission (just the nominal domain name registration fee) as you are simply registering a “new” domain name.

3. Buy Domain Names on eBay

Another source of domain names is eBay. Look under both of these categories:

  • Computers & Networking: Other Hardware & Services: Domain Names; and
  • Business & Industrial: Websites & Businesses For Sale: Internet Businesses, Websites.

4. Approach the Domain Name Registrant

Perhaps the name you want has already been registered by someone else. Why not approach the domain name owner and make an offer? The owner’s contact information may be available on their website or from the domain name registrar.

5. Search the Internet

Visit domain name brokers, for sale and classified sites, forums, newsgroups, expiring domain names websites, search engines, auction sites, and other websites to find your domain name.

These, then, are just a few suggestions on where to buy your domain names after domain acquired then move to making the website and put your SEO efforts into it. happy trying!.

A site content should be editable by authorized users.
That is what it is all about when thinking about editing your site from anywhere in the world via a web browser.

A CMS (content managment system) should be easy to use and many users should be able
to add / delete or edit content on the site.
This is the main purpose of CMS system (You can call it Content management, Web Editor or content editor system as well).

You would be surprised to see how much you can save just by choosing the right CMS system.

A good CMS is not the most heavy in features. It actually very similar to a mobile phone
which has many features but we mainly use saving numbers and sending SMS, all the trendy features are hardly use
So when you choose a CMS don’t be tempted to choose the most fancy one.

When choosing a content management system it is important to ask how much do I pay?
Well, this is not always very clear since most of the CMS’s companies are using site license based system.
It means that if you have only one site than you pay a low sum of money, but any additional site will
result in extra money. If you have more then two then it might get very expensive…..be aware.

Conclusion: You should look for a CMS that you can install many times with no extra fee or that the extra
fee if very low. Note, make sure in addition that you have no annual yearly expenses.
Now, this is important to know!!!
The chipset Content Management system have the same abilities as the expensive one.
Surprised?
Why is that. Most of us use an WYSIWYG API (what you see is what you get) both in mozila and explorer.
This features are built in the browser.
sooooooo, All the different cms’s are using the same API…..It means that no need to pay extra since the mechanism is the same.
Now, the last point which is very important to site owners, is the restriction!!!
Although some of you have only one site, the number will grow…believe me, once you opened a site you will add more in the future.
There for you will want that different users will be able to edit different part of a site or sites.
This feature is common in most CMS’s.

However, all CMS’s are using a word like edit panel (the WYSIWYG feature) which gives a great
ability to edit and change the site in an easy and clean way just like you are editing a word document.
But, this gives sometime extra freedom for users that change the site to look ugly………..
The CMS system must have the ability to give a user limitation for only text editing and not graphical view.
If this ability exists in a CMS you probably are looking at a good one.
Now…….make sure you choose wisely and with care
Since changing a CMS is not always an easy task and it usually takes time to do so.
My personal view is not choosing a CMS that uses database since replacing a content management system can be a nightmare.

You should skip this article if you have more Website traffic than you need. But if you are like many of us and need more that read on.

Content is still the gold standard that Web sites are graded on by the search engine robots. The content needs to be honest and reliable. When it is, you will begin to get a following of visitors.

These visitors will purchase from you time and time again. But first they need to get content from you so they will build that special trust.

How do you build more Web site traffic - One of SEO techniques?

The easiest way is to begin a distribution of your articles to directories, ezine publishers, and article announcement services. As you do this you will notice more Website traffic. If your experience is anything like mine it will be noticeable in the first or second week after circulating your article(s).

Article Directories

These are sites that devour content and have it available to others, including yourself. Article directories can have many categories for various articles they accept or they may be specialized and only take articles which deal within a small spectrum.

There are hundreds of these sites and you should rely only on the ones that are considered top tier. Usually these have been around the longest and have the widest base of readers looking for “your” article.

Web masters and others look to these “dealers of content” for actual articles or for ideas for their own articles. Unless you copyright an article it is usually there for the taking and using. As a ethical component for the free use of an article it is expected that the article

- will not be changed
- will have the resource box in tact
- and will reference the author and web site

Article Announcement Services

Another service which will bring you more Website traffic are announcement services. There are a few companies which do this and do it well. They have a list of members to which they announce via email the newest articles.

The biggest ones are Yahoo Groups (http://groups.yahoo.com/) and web-source.net (www.web-source.net/article-announce.htm ) You can get good exposure to ultimately get more Website traffic.

Ezine Publishers

Here there are literally hundreds if not thousands of the publishers. Most of them have a dual business both allowing you to add content articles and to get your articles to them so they may be used for ezines.

When you look into ezine publishers you will find that they are usually have niches for themselves. That is they usually look for a few categories of subjects. For expample, there are only about 5-10 who deal with articles on gardening.

As you submit your articles for use to these services you will need to know which niche or niches that your article fits best. By using these various avenues to get your articles out there you definitely will see more Website traffic. It is amazing how fast a growth you will see. It is not uncommon to see your site double or triple its traffic stats.

What does it take to submit to these?

I’ve got to admit it does take considerable time to submit your article, one at a time, to all of these potential services. Just to submit to about 40 directories it takes me about 6 hours. Save Yourself 4-5 hours

I have found a way to cut this time down to about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. This is a tremendous savings of time for me and it is done correctly.

Combining SEO to Survive Google Dance!

Google is dancing again! A full tilt all out boogie, a long drawn out rumble somewhere near cursor heaven. My own keywords are going up, down and out the door. Take your pick. Just want the bloody thing to stop. My nerves are shot… three years of hard work may just go down the drain and there’s no end in sight!

Fellow webmasters will recognize my slight desperation, my total sense of unease when Google dances. It all has to do with pre-conditioning, psych majors will know this, I am well conditioned to react. I have been burnt horribly by Google dances in the past so my panic is almost palatable. Forget Pavlov’s dog, when Google dances, webmasters like me salivates.

And Google is really dancing this time, Jagger has nothing on this baby. Nobody dances like Google, even puts Seinfeld’s Elaine to shame. And if you’re new to the webmaster’s favorite folly, a Google dance happens with Google adjusts its ranking algorithm, causing a ripple effect and adjustments in the rankings of keywords. Sites move up or down. Previous major Google dances have been called Florida, Austin, Bourbon…

When Google dances, webmasters sweat bullets. And it’s not all in their heads. It’s not psychosomatic. Horror stories abound, about honest hard working webmasters (not a black hat to be seen) suddenly waking up to find their site or sites gone from Google. Thousands of daily visitors/customers to their site vanish in an algorithmic fog overnight. Swift. Brutal. Painful.
